Before we quote our prices we want to mention that, to us a “service call” is when we repair your equipment. There is never a charge to give you an estimate to repair or to just walk into your place of business. There is never an additional charge to come back a second time with a part that we didn't have on the first trip!

For PC's, multi-function PC's, and commercial grade laser printers, the repair charge is $95. Travel time to your location is part of the $95 but you are still entiltled to an hour of the technician's time once he arrives. Any time past an hour is $60 per hour broken into 15 minute intervals.

Based on our experiences, it is extremely rare for a competent technician to need more than an hour to repair and clean a PC copier, a multi-function PC copier or a commercial grade laser printer. For those of you who are not familiar with the expression "PC," it stands for Personal Copier. Those are the inexpensive home office machines that you can buy from retail stores for $500 to $800.



For commercial grade copiers and fax machines as well as commercial grade multi-function laser printers, the repair charge is $105.00 for the first full hour.
Travel time to your location is part of the $105.00 but you are still entitled to a full hour of the technician’s time once he arrives. Any additional time that may be needed to complete repairs is $60.00 per hour, broken into fifteen (15) minute intervals.

It rarely takes a competent technician more than an hour to troubleshoot and repair a commercial grade copier, fax machine or multi-function printer, so any additional time past an hour is usually spent cleaning a machine that may have been neglected for a while. In any case, the technician will tell you within the first few minutes if he thinks that it may take more than an hour to complete the servicing and only with your approval.



Maintenance Agreements- Copiers
We have two types of “all inclusive” maintenance agreements, one with toner included and one without. Other than that, they both cover all parts, routine maintenance and any and all emergency service calls. Generally, they range in price from 1 penny per copy to as much as 1.8 cents per copy. It all depends on the type of equipment you have, what kind of peripherals or optional circuitry the equipment has, how much annual volume the machine will be doing and whether toner is or is not included. For the exact same type of equipment, your cost per copy will always be less the higher your annual volume. Furthermore, if the annual premium for your service contract is more than $800.00 you may pay us on a semi-annual basis.

While we don’t publish a copy of our maintenance agreements on our web site, we will be happy to fax you a copy, upon request, along with recommendations.

  What About Parts?

Provided that the factory dealer is not charging you more than MSRP on replacement parts, we can only save you marginally on small parts like paper feed rollers, gears, switches and sensors. However, the real savings is on what we charge for the “high-ticket,” consumable items.

Generally we are more than 20% less on copying drums, processing units, developers, wiper blades, fuser rollers, fuser related parts and most especially---circuit boards.

Sensitive to the attitudes of the factory dealers and to the stunts pulled by some independent servicing firms, our technicians will often go overboard to explain, in non-technical terms, the need for any parts which we claim may be needed to implement repairs.

Please note: For an independent we maintain and carry an unusually large spare parts inventory for the equipment that we service!
